Breakthrough
Anthropic’AI is writing a blog for itself automatically

Anthropic just launched a blog, but it’s not written by a human. “Claude Explains” is part demo, part experiment in AI-led content creation.
Here’s everything you need to know:
The posts are drafted by Claude, Anthropic’s AI, and refined by human editors.
Topics range from coding advice to business strategy; meant to showcase Claude’s writing chops.
The site makes no clear mention of the human editorial process, which may mislead readers.
Anthropic says it’s a collaboration: Claude drafts, experts add context, polish, and practical value.
It’s part of a bigger trend: AI is now writing blogs, sports recaps, even book lists.
Many outlets using AI have faced backlash after publishing error-ridden or fabricated content.
Despite the automation, Anthropic insists it’s still hiring for editorial and marketing roles.
Here’s what I think:
AI can draft. It can suggest. But trust? That still belongs to humans. Claude’s blog is a glimpse of what hybrid workflows might look like, but the moment AI writes unchecked and unauthored is the moment we stop knowing who’s really talking. Transparency, not automation, will define credibility going forward.
Jobs market
The AI threat that keeps DeepMind’s chief up at night
While many fear AI will replace jobs, Google DeepMind’s CEO sees a different threat: bad actors using it unchecked.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Hassabis says the biggest danger isn’t job loss rather it’s misuse of powerful AI.
He warns that autonomous AI in the wrong hands could be catastrophic.
Hackers have already used AI to mimic officials and generate deepfakes.
Regulation is still lagging, even as U.S. and China race for AI dominance.
DeepMind wants global guardrails but admits geopolitics makes that hard.
Hassabis sees a future where AI “agents” manage tasks in everyday life.
Despite fears, he believes AI will create new jobs and boost productivity, if we adapt.
Here’s what I think:
It’s easy to get caught up in the jobpocalypse headlines. But Hassabis is right to look upstream. The real question isn’t will AI disrupt the world but who gets to steer that disruption. Guardrails don’t slow progress; they keep it from veering off a cliff.
Update
Now You Can Hide Reddit Posts from Your Profile
Reddit is rolling out new privacy features that let users control what shows up on their profile. It’s a quiet but important shift for how identity works on the platform.
Here’s everything you need to know:
A new “Content and Activity” setting lets you hide posts and comments from your profile.
You can choose to show activity from specific subreddits or hide everything.
NSFW content, follower counts, and profile comments are also now customizable.
Reddit hopes this will encourage more participation, especially on sensitive topics.
Throwaway accounts might become less necessary if users feel safer engaging.
The change doesn’t mean full anonymity; your posts still appear in the communities.
Moderators still get 28-day visibility for moderation purposes, even if you hide content.
Here’s what I think:
Reddit is trying to balance privacy with identity, without giving up ad targeting. This update makes the platform feel a bit less permanent, which could help people be more open. But true privacy? That’s still not part of the deal.
