Your AI is only as good as what you feed it. Feed it a transcript with your product names, acronyms, and numbers spelled wrong, and you spend the afternoon hand-fixing the output.

Wispr Flow Notetaker uses your dictionary and calendar, so product names, acronyms, numbers, and uncommon names come out spelled right. It pops up when your meeting starts and captures Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Slack huddles with one click, no bot joining the call.

Then your meetings show up inside Claude or ChatGPT through the built-in connector. No copy paste. Try Notetaker free on Mac and Windows.

BREAKTHROUGH

NVIDIA's New RTX Spark Could Change What Your Laptop Can Do

NVIDIA has officially launched its new RTX Spark laptops. These machines bring powerful AI computing directly to Windows PCs. They can run large AI models without relying entirely on the cloud. And they aren't designed just for developers. Creators, gamers, and everyday professionals are part of the plan.

Here's what you need to know:

  • AI power on your desk: RTX Spark delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance, bringing powerful computing into portable laptops.

  • 128GB of unified memory: Users can run demanding AI models, creative applications, and multiple workflows using shared memory.

  • AI agents work locally: Tools like GitHub Copilot, Hermes, and OpenClaw can help automate tasks, generate content, and write code.

  • A major upgrade for creators: RTX Spark supports 8K video editing and large 3D scenes. Adobe Photoshop and Premiere are also receiving AI acceleration.

  • Gaming gets serious attention: NVIDIA claims supported games can exceed 100 FPS at 1440p, with DLSS 5 improving visual quality and performance.

  • Developers get more independence: Native CUDA support allows developers to build, test, and run AI applications locally, reducing dependence on cloud infrastructure.

  • Available from major PC brands: ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI are launching RTX Spark laptops, with prices starting at $2,599.

For years, powerful AI mostly lived in the cloud. NVIDIA wants to bring more of that intelligence onto personal computers. That could change how people create, code, and work. But powerful hardware alone won't make AI genuinely useful. The real test is whether these machines simplify everyday tasks. And at $2,599, affordability remains an important question.

North Korea Is Bringing AI Into Underwater Warfare

North Korea has tested a new AI-powered torpedo system. The weapon reportedly uses artificial intelligence to identify and track targets. Pyongyang says the underwater test was successful. The development comes amid growing military tensions on the Korean peninsula. It also raises questions about AI's expanding role in modern warfare.

Here's what we know:

  • AI-powered targeting: The new torpedo reportedly uses artificial intelligence for target detection and guidance, potentially improving underwater precision.

  • Five years of development: North Korea claims its propulsion technology underwent more than 180 tests before this demonstration.

  • Successful underwater trial: State media KCNA described Thursday's test as successful, calling it a significant naval milestone.

  • High-speed precision: The weapon reportedly combines advanced propulsion with precision guidance, although independent performance data remains unavailable.

  • Expanding naval capabilities: The test follows several North Korean weapons launches, highlighting continued investment in military technology.

  • Regional tensions: North and South Korea are developing increasingly sophisticated weapons as security concerns intensify across the peninsula.

  • AI enters underwater warfare: Automated target detection could change naval operations, but its reliability and battlefield effectiveness remain uncertain.

The interesting part isn't simply that North Korea tested another weapon. It's the growing role of AI in military decision-making. Machines may increasingly identify targets faster than humans can respond. But speed doesn't automatically mean accuracy, reliability, or better judgment. And North Korea's claims still need independent verification. The bigger question is worth considering.

The People Building AI Expect a Very Different Future

Anthropic has released new research on how people see AI's future. The findings reveal a striking gap in expectations. Most Americans expect AI to improve gradually. But Anthropic employees anticipate much faster changes. And the biggest difference concerns their own jobs.

Here's what the research reveals:

  • 75% of work could be automated: Anthropic employees expect AI to handle 75% of their current work hours by 2030. US workers expect just 28%.

  • AI could accelerate scientific discoveries: 91% of Anthropic staff believe AI could make Nobel-level discoveries by 2030, compared with 39% of US adults.

  • Productivity gains are already visible: 59% of Anthropic employees say suitable tasks take a quarter of the usual time or less with AI. Only 26% of working AI users report similar savings.

  • Job concerns are growing: Workers expecting greater AI automation also anticipate higher unemployment. Those expecting 80% automation forecast 12.2% unemployment by 2030.

  • AI adoption faces human barriers: Americans identify customer preferences, privacy concerns, reliability, and regulations as major obstacles to workplace adoption.

  • Automation doesn't necessarily mean layoffs: Despite expecting substantial automation, 95% of Anthropic staff anticipate company headcount growth over the next year.

  • Economic expectations differ dramatically: Researchers' model translates median public expectations into 5.4% GDP growth in 2030, versus 17.1% from Anthropic staff expectations. These are modeled scenarios, not economic forecasts.

The most interesting finding isn't how powerful AI might become. It's how differently people understand its potential. Those working closely with AI expect faster change. But expectations aren't guarantees. And automating tasks doesn't automatically eliminate entire jobs. The real challenge may be adapting work as capabilities improve.
