What’s Trending Today
Microsoft
You’ve got 2 weeks left to join Microsoft’s global AI learning fest

Microsoft’s AI Skills Fest is open to everyone and it’s more than just training. It’s a mix of AI courses, real-world challenges, prizes, and even a world record. All free, but only until May 28.
Here’s what inside:
The event offers beginner-to-pro AI courses in over 35 languages for free.
Microsoft is sweetening the deal with prize drawings, certifications, and GitHub discounts.
Courses range from Minecraft-themed intros to full-stack builds with GitHub Copilot.
If you’re aiming for certifications like DP-700, the prep content is included.
You can earn a LinkedIn Learning certificate with zero cost no paywall.
Many of the classes remain open-access, even after the fest ends.
Over 126,000 people have already joined, helping Microsoft set a new world record.
Here’s what I think:
Microsoft nailed something that most companies miss they made learning feel exciting, not obligatory. Whether you’re new to AI or brushing up for work, this is one of the few events that offers both depth and fun. And yes, free doesn’t hurt either.

Amazon
What happens to warehouse workers in the age of AI bots?

Amazon just unveiled Vulcan, a robot designed to take on physically demanding warehouse tasks. But buried in that announcement is a subtle glimpse of how blue-collar jobs may evolve not vanish in an AI-dominated future.
Vulcan is designed to grab hard-to-reach items, reducing injury-prone tasks for humans.
Humans will now focus on mid-shelf items or anything Vulcan still can’t manage.
Amazon is training select workers as robot technicians a shift, not a replacement.
The company claims these robots are involved in 75% of all customer orders.
New jobs like “robotic floor monitor” and “reliability engineer” are already emerging.
Still, this isn’t a 1:1 job swap most workers won’t transition into tech roles.
Amazon’s retraining pitch may be real, but the scale (and who qualifies) is unclear.
Here’s what I think:
The future won’t be bots replacing people it’ll be bots reshaping what people do. The real challenge is scale. Not everyone wants to be a robot tech. But as machines take over more grunt work, the question shifts from “Will we have jobs?” to “Will we like the ones we get?”
SoundCloud
Your music might train AI now unless you have a special deal

SoundCloud updated its terms to allow AI training on user-uploaded content. It’s part of a growing trend among platforms to quietly shift how user data is used and it’s raising new questions about consent, ownership, and transparency.
The updated terms let SoundCloud use user content to “inform, train, develop” AI systems.
There’s no clear opt-out for individual users just carveouts for label-backed tracks.
A spokesperson later clarified: artist content isn’t being used to train generative models (yet).
The company says AI is used for recs, fraud detection, and playlist generation — not content creation.
But the terms are broad, mirroring policy shifts from X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Many creators argue AI training should be opt-in, especially when monetized.
Tools like Musiio, which SoundCloud uses, claim to support discovery not replacement.
Here’s what I think:
SoundCloud says it’s protecting creators but vague policies and silent updates leave too much room for interpretation. If artists are the raw material for training, they deserve not just notice, but control. Opt-in isn’t a luxury; it’s the baseline.
New tools by Amazon
This new tool turns outdated product listings into conversion machines

Amazon launched “Enhance My Listing,” a generative AI tool designed to help sellers update and optimize product pages effortlessly. It’s built on years of feedback and AI model training and it’s already changing how over 900,000 sellers manage their listings.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Sellers can now optimize existing listings with just a few clicks using AI.
The tool uses seller-provided images, URLs, or short descriptions to generate high-quality content.
Early users are seeing a 40% boost in listing quality, with minimal edits needed.
Gen AI now powers everything from product titles to attributes, helping sellers stay relevant and seasonal.
Feedback shows sellers want this not just for new listings — but for reviving old ones too.
With integration into Seller Central, EML feels less like a tech upgrade and more like a productivity assistant.
Small brands are especially benefiting, turning hours of work into minutes and making products more discoverable.
Here’s what I think:
Amazon’s “Enhance My Listing” isn’t just another AI feature it’s a sign that generative AI is becoming core infrastructure for digital commerce. The real shift isn’t the tech itself, but how seamlessly it folds into everyday workflows. If this becomes the norm, “listing optimization” might soon be as simple as clicking “accept.”
