NVIDIA and Google Are Rethinking AI’s Energy Problem

Plus: Anthropic Is Putting All of Claude Under One Roof

In partnership with

Anthropic, NVIDIA, and OpenAI are pushing AI beyond better models. Anthropic is simplifying how people work with Claude. NVIDIA is tackling the growing power demands behind AI infrastructure. And OpenAI is turning advertising into something users can actually talk with. Together, these updates show where the AI race is heading next.

In today’s post:

  • AI has a new bottleneck: electricity

  • OpenAI is turning ads into conversations

  • Anthropic just removed a big AI UX problem

Product teams aren’t short on ideas. They’re missing a system.

Jira Product Discovery gives teams one place to capture customer feedback, prioritize ideas with consistent frameworks, and build living roadmaps everyone can align on. And when it’s time to build, those decisions connect directly to delivery in Jira, so everyone can see how the roadmap turns into real work.

PARTNERSHIP

Google and NVIDIA want data centers to work with the grid.

Emerald AI, Google, and NVIDIA just launched AEMA. It stands for the AI Energy Management Alliance. Its goal sounds simple. Make AI data centers flexible electricity users. That could change how quickly new AI infrastructure gets built.

  • Power is becoming a major constraint for AI expansion. Building more chips means little without enough electricity available.

  • Today’s grids weren’t designed around massive AI facilities. Traditional data centers usually behave like constant electricity loads.

  • AEMA wants AI facilities to become flexible instead. They could reduce consumption when the grid becomes stressed.

  • Computing workloads could also shift to different times. Batteries and nearby generation could provide additional flexibility.

  • That flexibility could accelerate new grid connections. Utilities may connect facilities faster when demand can respond dynamically.

  • The alliance wants common standards for these systems. Response times, reliability, emergencies, and data sharing all matter.

  • The bigger goal extends beyond individual data centers. AI infrastructure could eventually become an active grid resource.

The AI infrastructure race is changing. First, everyone wanted more chips. Then the constraint became data centers. Now electricity is moving closer to center stage. That creates an interesting shift. Future AI leaders may optimize more than computing power. They may optimize when that computing power consumes electricity. And that makes energy management part of AI infrastructure itself.

The next ad might answer your questions.

OpenAI is rethinking advertising inside ChatGPT. The interesting part isn’t simply adding more AI. It’s changing what happens after someone sees an ad. Instead of clicking away, people can start talking. That could reshape how advertising works online.

  • OpenAI is testing Sponsored Agents with select US advertisers. Users can voluntarily start conversations after seeing relevant ads.

  • These conversations remain separate from ChatGPT’s independent answers. They’re also clearly labeled as business-sponsored experiences.

  • That changes the traditional advertising journey. Instead of ad, click, website, users can immediately ask questions.

  • Advertisers are getting AI tools on their side too. Campaigns can be created and analyzed using natural-language prompts.

  • Ads Manager can suggest copy and imagery automatically. Marketers still review those suggestions before using them.

  • Ad copy can also adapt to conversation context. Businesses can enable automatic headline, description, and language customization.

  • OpenAI is connecting ads with existing business software. HubSpot and Shopify are its first CRM and ecommerce partners.

Internet advertising has mostly optimized one action. The click. Conversational AI creates another possibility. An ad can become somewhere you actually ask questions. That changes what businesses need to optimize. The best advertisement may not generate the fastest click. It may generate the most useful conversation.

AI TOOLS

Claude no longer wants you choosing the right AI tool.

Anthropic is changing how people use Claude. Chat, Cowork, Artifacts, and Design now share one interface. That sounds like a small product update. It isn’t. The bigger idea is removing decisions before work begins.

  • Claude can now route requests automatically between its capabilities. Users no longer need to decide which workspace fits.

  • Chat, Cowork, Artifacts, and Claude Design now live together. The interface becomes the starting point for almost everything.

  • Anthropic is also adding dedicated presentation creation. Claude can create, edit, present, and export finished slides.

  • A new Docs experience brings collaborative document creation into Claude. Users can write sections, ask questions, and leave comments.

  • Work can move between desktop and mobile more naturally. Start something on desktop, then monitor progress from your phone.

  • Sharing is becoming part of the product itself. Documents and presentations can be shared through links and edited elsewhere.

  • Pro and Max users get these changes first. Free and team plans are expected to receive them later.

AI products are becoming more capable every month. But capability creates another problem: complexity. Users shouldn’t need to understand product architecture before asking for help. The winning interface may become surprisingly simple. You describe what you want. The AI decides how the work gets done.
