OpenAI introduced Google killer: Deep Research
Is this really that good? Explore it here and see if this hits the mark or not.
In 1995, the smartest businesses got online. In 2005, they mastered social media.
In 2025, they’ll be built on AI. If your partner doesn’t understand this, find someone who does before your competition does.
In today’s post:
OpenAI: Deep Research

What’s Trending Today
OPENAI

Google has been the go-to for online research for decades. But OpenAI just launched ChatGPT Deep Research, and it might be the first real threat to Google Search in a long time.
Here’s why this is so important:
Beyond quick answers: Instead of giving you a basic summary, Deep Research spends 5-30 minutes pulling data from multiple sources, analyzing it, and delivering a well-documented response.
Citations included: Unlike Google Search (which forces you to sift through links), Deep Research provides clear citations so you can verify where the info comes from.
No images yet: Right now, it’s text-only, but OpenAI says graphs, charts, and other visual data are coming soon.
Limited access: It’s currently available to Pro users (100 queries/month), with Plus and Team access coming soon. Notably, OpenAI hasn’t set a release date for parts of Europe.
Can it replace Google? The big question. Google is fast, but it doesn’t do the kind of deep, multi-source analysis that OpenAI is aiming for. If Deep Research actually works as promised, it could change how we find information online.
Here’s what I think:
Google is unbeatable when it comes to speed. But if Deep Research delivers more trustworthy, well-cited answers, it could take a serious bite out of Google’s dominance. The real test? Whether people are willing to wait 5-to-30 minutes for an answer.
Would you trade instant search results for deeper, AI-powered research?

Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental Is Here (Sort of)

You’d think Google would make a big deal about its next-gen AI model, right? Nope. Instead, Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental was casually slipped into a changelog for its Gemini chatbot app no grand announcement, no flashy event. The classic Google style.
Here’s everything you need to know about this:
It’s an upgrade: The successor to Gemini 1.5 Pro, this model promises better factual accuracy and stronger coding/math skills.
For paid users only: If you’re a Gemini Advanced subscriber (through Google One AI Premium), you get first dibs.
Not fully polished: Google warns it’s still in early preview, meaning bugs and mistakes are expected.
Limited features: Unlike other Gemini models, it doesn’t have real-time web access and lacks some app capabilities.
Stealth launch? Interestingly, Google later removed all mentions of Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental from the changelog, calling it an “out-of-date release note.” (Was it really a mistake or just bad timing?)
Here’s what I think:
Google’s low-key rollout is weird. Usually, tech giants hype up AI breakthroughs, but this time? Almost radio silence. Maybe they’re feeling the heat from OpenAI, DeepSeek, and other AI rivals. Either way, it’s clear that AI development is moving faster than Google’s PR team can keep up.
Would you trust an “experimental” AI model with your work?
