• Opera claims it will interpret your prompts and handle multi-step tasks without you.

• There’s no launch date yet, and it’ll be a premium product—but you can join the waitlist.

• This isn’t Opera’s first swing at Neon they tried in 2017, but it fizzled out.

• With AI hype at full steam, this reboot may have better timing (or not).

Here’s what I think:

Agentic browsers are an intriguing step if they actually deliver. We’ve heard big AI promises before, but few tools work as seamlessly as they claim. Whether Neon will change your workflow or collect dust like its predecessor depends on execution. Until then, it’s all talk and screenshots.

Odyssey’s “interactive video” is like Google Street View on dream mode

A new AI project backed by Pixar’s cofounder is making waves and some weird walls. Odyssey wants to let you walk through AI-generated videos in real-time.

• Odyssey calls it “interactive video” a blend of film and simulation you can explore.

• The experience feels like a blurry video game that changes as you move.

• You can navigate spaces like cabins, malls, and parking lots—but don’t expect stability.

Here’s what I think:

Odyssey’s preview is a mess but a fascinating one. If it evolves, this could be a new medium entirely, blending gaming, cinema, and simulation. It’s not a Holodeck yet, but it does something most tech demos don’t: it makes you wonder what might be possible next.
